2021 Year in Review

2021 by the numbers...

1 quilt, 1 pillow, and 1 table runner.

 175 hours on Duolingo.

108 books read.  Best of the bunch: The Secret Life of Addie Larue, Too Good to Be True, and For Your Own Good.

Like almost everyone, my year can best be described as languishing.  I didn't accomplish much in any area of my life but there's always hope for the new year.  May you be safe and live happily.

2020 Year in Review

 2020 by the numbers...

4 quilts - 3 of the out of the UFO stack.

1 Instagram post so no Top 9 this year.  I took a huge step back from social media this year and am still struggling with how to cultivate a healthy creative presence.

294 days since the world shut down because of Covid-19.  My quilt studio became my home office and making masks became every sewists #1 priority.

136 hours learning Spanish on Duolingo and the reason I haven't seen any of the shows everyone else was binge watching.

106 books read.  Thank goodness for Kindle!

2020 was not the year any of us was expecting.  I hope that the challenges and lessons learned from this year can bring growth and creativity in the year ahead.

Stay safe and happy quilting - XOXO Alice

2018 Year in Review

2018 by the numbers...

7 quilts - I haven't really been inspired to create this year so it was good to make some gifts to keep me going and it's so great to finally have Blue Plate Special out of the UFO pile.  Even if I don't find my Sewjo next year I've still got enough of a backlog to keep me busy.

3 pillows

My Instagram #bestNine2018

My 8th Boston MQG retreat which was the only meeting I made it to all year.

1 Kid accepted to college - how did that happen!!!

153 books read - Favorites: Tangerine by Christine Mangan and The Wife by Alafair Burke.

I love this week between Christmas and New Year.  It's such a great time to relax and recharge.  I've spent a lot of time reflecting on this last year and making plans for the next.  2018 is going to bring a lot of changes but I welcome this opportunity to flourish.
